David Pearson (Pastor)
David grew up in Kansas City, Missouri as a pastor's kid. He holds a B.S. in Administrative Management from Southwest Missouri State University (now MSU), and a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological School. He married his wife Kelly in 1990, and they have three beautiful daughters named Erin, Allison, and Emily.

David moved in the Philadelphia area in 1999 and has been part of starting churches in NE Philadelphia, the Warrington/Horsham area, and now West Chester. He loves working with people to see them grow in their relationship with God and discover their spiritual gifts to serve God, the church, and the community.

David loves sports, reading, camping, and hiking. He is a huge Eagles fan (Go Birds!).

Scott Smith (Associate Pastor)
Scott grew up on the Illinois side of St. Louis, Missouri and met his wife Kim while they were in college in Kirksville, MO. He has a B.S. in Psychology and a Masters of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Scott and Kim have two boys, Aaron and Manning.

Scott and his family moved to West Chester in July 2007 to help start The Journey. While they are new to the area, they are settling in and getting adjusted to the area. Scott enjoys talking with people and getting to know them, and has rarely met a stranger. He also enjoys participating and helping others participate in missions.

Outside of church activities, the Smith's are avid sports fans, especially baseball. Many of their family outings involve sports in some way.
