Greeters
Before someone new to a church has a chance to experience the worship, hear the Word of God preached, or mingle with others, they need to walk through our doors. In some churches, that can be a cold and uncomfortable situation, in others, a warm and inviting embrace of the love of God.
The Greeter Ministry at The Journey is quite simply an organized way of helping guests (and members alike) feel that warm and inviting welcome when they come to our church building.
Although there are often tasks to accomplish, roles to perform, and places to be, none of that compares to simply smiling and saying "Hello, I'm glad to see you" to someone who walks through our doors. That might be the first kindness they've experienced in a long time, especially if this is their first time in -- or back in -- a church.
