Michael Gembola to Speak at SNT
WEST CHESTER - Michael Gembola, a counselor at the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation, will speak for the December 2016 Sunday Night Theology (SNT) at The Journey Church of West Chester, PA on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 4:30pm.
The talk will focus on the power of recurring and debilitating behavior patterns that arise from a heart that has, at bottom, mis-placed worship. The roots of dangerous and often secret behavior find a home in a heart that is searching and coping with feelings and circumstances that often seem out of control. Pornography, sexual dysfunction, eating disorders, loneliness, and even thoughts of suicide reveal a struggle with the heart that cannot be solved by sheer willpower or some sort of wishful thinking that problems will simply go away. Gembola will teach how the power of true Christian worship will help bring about real and lasting change from the heart.
"There is real help and hope for all who would look away from themselves to the person of Jesus Christ," stated Raymond Johnson, Lead Pastor. "It is my prayer that many in our church and community will be helped by Michael's talk as we search our hearts for ways we worship people or things other than God himself."
